    Default Minnkota foot control

    minnkota motorguide

My new boat has a minnkota 80 lb thrust tr. motor on it. I sure like the motor, but I can't get used to the activation switch on it. It takes more pressure than what I'm used to on my motorguide. Is there a way of reducing the spring pressure on the switch?

But that takes money! You want to loan me one for a while? See if I like it? :-)

You will laugh at my temporary solution. I cut a piece of lathe, put some butyl rubber on one side and stuck it to the switch. Raising it that much made a world of difference. Now that I know that works, I may have to find something that looks a bit less cobbled
