I will drift more than 5 feet in windy conditions but with spot lock the i-pilot will adjust the speed of the motor in an attempt to keep you on your spot, but, by the time it makes that speed adjustment you will normally be more than 5 feet off your spot. MK was stretching it with their 5 foot radius statement. Strong winds are tough to handle even when you are manually controlling a trolling motor.
