Anyone tried out the 262kHz side view frequency yet? Just curious about results. Can't yet get out by myself so to check stuff out.

Just an FYI that you would need to be using the first generation XHS-9-Si-180-T transducer with the 997 unit for this. This is the same transducer that was shipped with the 981 and 987c Si units.
What happened to 800kHz?

I believe Mr Greg is wrong the transducer that came with my 981 and 987 C was a XHS 9-
160 T.
To differentiate when the 997C was released Humminbird worked HDSI into the part number but 180T was on the tail end of that number.
Garminarmin gpsmap 1040 xs networked with Garmin gpsmap 1242 xsv , Panoptix PS 30 and PS 31. Livescope LVS 32
Ice rig Echomap Ultra 106SV with LVS 12 and GT10-IF
Wonder why that 262kHz frequency is on the 997 menu now? I believe it was 455/800 selectable before the upgrade. I could be wrong.![]()

Tom the old units my 987 and the first 997's had the 262 and 455 I think then the upgraded ones had the 455 and 800. I run the 262 all the time. Get way more detail then I do the higher setting.
Thats just me your millage may differ. Guess we can use your unit on my boat when I'm up that way and see how it does on your unit.
