Tom, my 997 still says 455/800 after all the updates, & yes I can select between each. Question? when u were havin trouble adjusting you transducer you didn't by chance buy that hi speed ducer the smaller one to get a better bottom lock at higher speeds did u? I don't know for fact but I always thought it didn't have 800on it. Oh yes my 997 is a early model 997 bout may of 07..............

Pete said some of the early 997 had that frequency. I never noticed before. It is not in my booklet.

Looks like someone would tell us about this kind of stuff. Kinda pissy.......

Jaxsprat solve my dilemma. I had the wrong xducer selected (somehow). I have never changed this setting. billbob did it.:D

Setting was sidescan. Should have been hi def sidescan.

XHS-9-Si-160-T is the correct part number for the older 262/455kHz Si transducer.
