    Default Ipilot rebate

Got this from MK today about rebate. I didn't know how to get it. Also about cutting shaft.

    Ray,
I have included a link to our promotions website where you can download the rebate forms. You will void the warranty by cutting down the shaft yourself, however, you can contact your local Minn Kota service center to have them cut it down and still keep the warranty.

    Thanks,

I think grizzly jig can cut your shaft. I think they charge 30 dollars and he is a MK service center.

rtark Look in the paper work that came with your trolling motor. there are 7 Minn Kota Authorized Service Centers listed for Arkansas. It's in the Booklet that says Minn Kota Terrova on the cover. Not the owners manual. If you don't have this info or can't find it. If you will PM me your city I will PM you back if there is one listed for your area.

Maybe I am missing something here (I have done that before  ), but can't you just slide the collar down the shaft and let the head stick up a bit further rather than cutting the shaft?

That is the way I run mine and it keeps the wire going to the head from getting rubbed on stuff when turning.

Right, you can, but on my boat the head would be so high it would be right in the way . Like hitting limbs, hitting it with your rod when casting etc etc.
