    Default HDS 10 question

I was wondering if any one had an answer to my problems. I can overlay the battery voltage icon on my pages but it won't give me the voltage it's blank. The battery temp used to come up on the overlay selection and give me temp but no longer shows up on the menu or give me temp. The internal voltage icon gives me a reading. I did a default reset and I reinstalled both software updates this did not help. I have not done a soft or hard reset yet. Any ideas?

Any Lowrance employees that might take a stab at a trouble shot?

Try the hard reset in case something got changed that shouldn't have.

why things have to be made difficult is beyond me. All they need to do, is pull the voltage and amperage off the the incoming 12 volt power feed to the unit.

You will be amazed at what info you can get from that interface cable...on my etec it would be similiar to reading the info from the EMM.

You will need to set things up on a nmea 2000 backbone and interface everything from your cable from the engine. Very handy system for sure!

You can display voltage without getting from engine. Can't remember how, but mine comes from unit itself.

Is the voltage you show internal or battery? If it's battery I would like to know how to show it. Thanks.

I am having the same problem or should I say that I realized I am having the same problem. My old x102 used to get that info from itself or from the hot leads that ran into the unit, and now they have figured out away for it to cost us more money to know what our batt voltage is. I gotta say....that kinda stuff really burns my.... I'm just gonna buy a digital volt gauge and install on the boat. Prolly a lot cheaper than all the crap I would have to get from lowrance to make it work like the old ones did.
