    Default I pilot Thumbs Up!

I got the Terrova 80 with Ipilot and I have used mine twice since I got it 2 weeks ago. It is longliner's dream come true. I have used anchor lock for tightling so far but I can't wait to start trolling this weekend. I like the foot control better than the V2 and it seems to have a faster response too. I believe I will enjoy fishing more now because I don't have to worry about speed and boat control anymore. It is certainly worth the money to me.

I also have had my terrova with I pilot for a couple of weeks now and I can honestly say im not a long liner more because Ive never tried it but i will say one thing.............. Spot lock I have used the heck out of so far and it has worked great every time. I actually used it the other day at the mouth of a few creeks while sauger fishing. There was current swirling around everywhere and it kept me right on point. The remote is awsome as well, very lightweight. I only went with the 55lb thrust motor because normally i don't troll or stay on the tm all day. From what I understand because the tm is digital the battery life will be a lot longer anyways. So far its awsome!!!

    Here's the rebate form:

As you can see, purchases must be made between 2/15 and 4/15, and must be accompanied by an original, dated sales receipt.

    Default Like dem rebates

I was about to pull the trigger on a new Terrova 55 & I-Pilot when I saw the rebate. Figured what the heck a few more days won't matter I'm at work until the 18th anyway. Wife wouldn't install it for if I'm not there. But come Feb 15th my order is in. The extra 100 will go toward a new rod holder.

    Default 80 Terrova with I-Pilot

I am going with the 80 Terrova with I-Pilot on the 15 Feb. to get the $100.00 rebate. The 60" shaft seems long to me. Anyone cut the shaft off one or is this not a problem. Seems to me that it would stickup to high if you had it setup to use in shallow water?

    Thanks
    Dwight

Bamaman, they make a 48" and a 54" shaft as well. I ended up getting the Terrova 80lb thrust with 48" shaft US2. Just got the I-pilot for it last weekend.

I first purchased the 54" shaft, but it was way to long for my boat. When the motor was stowed, the head stuck out way over the side of my boat. The 48" shaft worked perfect for mine.

Sure wish I coulda got $100.00 rebate.

I cut down my 60'' it was very simple. just remove the head '5 screws' and cut with hack saw, easy to cut just be carefull to not cut wires and cut with it on it side so dust want go down shaft.

A question about cutting the shaft on the Terrova. Will cutting of the shaft interfere with the warranty. What do you all think.

According to emails I received from MinnKota....as long as a "warranty service center" does the work then the warranty is still good. Warranty is voided if you do it yourself.

So....make sure the warranty service center documents the work done (and they will since there will probably be a small charge) and KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK.
