Go to Walley World and get one of the LCD screen cleaning kits with the spray and blue rag, can't remember what they call the type of rag it comes with. But the rag and spray that comes with it are designed not to scratch the screens.

Microfiber cloth is the key.

Kinda gross with the Mrs in the boat, but spit does a nice job. A weak solution of vinegar will also work. Avoid ammonia-based products.

Do NOT use any cleaner containing ammonia or alcohol, as they will cut into & or cause tiny cracks over time in plastic screen. HB says OK to use windex with vinegar, I have used Sparkle brand(purple jazz) window cleaner for years & it worked great. I always carried in boat some alcohol-Free electronic wipes similar to the little hand wipes some restaurants give U with rib dinners. Ones I like our by NICE'N CLEAN ELECTRONICS CLEANING WIPES for computer & TV monitors get em a Wally World bout 25 to a box in electronic/TV section-at ours U just have to look for them on shelf as people there don't know they sell them or what they for??????????????
Or U can buy a NAVPROTECTOR film that comes precut to size of U unit stays on by static, have one 997 going on 3rd season now works great & when people point to screen I don't worry bout them scratching it. Yep, it cost $25-$30 per sheet.-(Oh sheet pun?)

Just to touch on Jason comments. I would suggest a microfiber cloth and Windex make a product called Windex Multi-Surface Cleaner (Vinegar). It is a clear solution. Can be found at WalMart or any store that carries that type of products. This means it is vinegar based. This works pretty good to clean and get the water spots off of your lens or display.

Hey Joby, have you considered Lime-Away for the water spots? I've used it for years on different things, including putting it in coffee makers (it's a recommended use).

The LCD cleaner will wipe the water spots away easy. It's made for the LCD screens and I have found nothing better.

Ok, believe I'll try that. I always worry about something eating the seals as opposed to the screen itself.
