    Default I-Pilot Question?

How long of a trail is the unit capable of storing/back tracking? Also can you record a trail with your outboard and then use your I-Pilot to back track it? I have alomost made up my mind just to pull the trigger and buy it. Just trying to finish making up my mind. Does RAM make a craddle to hold the remote? Thanks

2 miles is the back track function. it will record up to 3 tracks. The unit has to be down to record the track. If you are installing it on a Teranova, the foot pedal will work. V2 the pedal is a paperweight.

It will store three tracks up to two miles each according to the owners manual. I havent used it yet though. So far the advanced auto pilot and spot lock have worked as advertised in the brief times I have used it. Still learning!!I dont think it will record a track while you are running with your reg boat motor though.

I have no stake in this one, but I think it'd be worth the money, but it's not the urge that will kill me!!!!:D:D:D

I would love to say No but dont think I can. I really cant wait until I start trolling and really get to use the track record feature. Its going to be SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!:D The spot lock has been nice as I havent had to put out an anchor. And the advanced auto pilot feature is supposed to compensate for current/wind conditions and maintain your desired heading.

    Default V2 with I-Pilot

I have a power drive V2 with remolt control and pedal. If I change over to I-pilot, would it be worth the change if you loose the foot pedal. Please give input. Pros and Cons. thanks

I have the same question. I can think of several reasons to have a foot pedal.
Lines caught on a stump while trying to retie jig. Hands full and seeing something in the water that you don't want to hit. I don't see myself being able to hold pole, line, hook and use the remote. I still want one though.. :0
