I have never used my powerdrive V2 with a foot pedal so not sure if I miss it or not. I bought the TM and the I pilot the same day.I went from a 90's model trolling motor to what i have now and have been very pleased. The motor responds very fast to the command you give it so it doesnt take but a second to get out of harms way.

A very, very nice remote I might add. Its waterproof, floats, is pretty small, and is really light... What else would you ask for???

My fishing partner just added one to his POWERDRIVE V2 and is well pleased. I think I am going to go with the Terrova so you can operate it with the foot pedal also.

I have a Terrova and keep the foot pedal in a rod locker storage compartment. I took it out the other day just for the heck of it to make sure it actually works, it does (never used it in two years). Remotes will spoil us all....just like the ones we use for TV.

Been using a power drive for years with hand remote and never missed the foot pedal. I upgraded to the V2 w/ Ipilot and I like it better. Only one complaint....how in the world can you stop the beeps... they need a switch I hate the beeps.

Very true!!!!! I guess the beeps do tell you that you pressed the button hard enough and something is changing but I could do without them also...

Made the mistake of taking ny wife with me when looking at wireless TMs.

She thinks that the iPilot is the only way to go.
