    Default 797 Down Imaging Capabilities

Humminbird has worked hard over the past couple of months since first announcing Down Imaging and we have been able to overcome the issues with 797 memory capabilities and we are going to be releasing 797 software that does contain Down Imaging capabilities.

WOW that's great news..I know several folks with 797's that were pretty disillusioned, disgusted, & just plan P. O'd. This is really a great move by HB FOLKS. Just upgraded the new upgrade received today on my 997. Like the colors & picts as I went thru the simulator/demo mode. Now how to test GPS that's goin to be a biggie for me if it works???

This is extemely good news. While I own the 997 and was not as concerned about it as those who only have the 797c . It was quite refreshing that Humminbird was willing to work to provide the 797c this great feature. I am quite sure it has shored up its coporate image with a multitude of its customers.

For a newbie to all this - can you provide some more information - like what to do and how to do it :D I bought a boat with a 797 at the console and the 788 at the bow - they are interlinked... I have no clue how to use them at all.. but I know the DI is supposed to be great!

(jaxsprat- Just upgraded the new upgrade received today on my 997.)

Jaxsprat - Are you saying you were able to get the latest update from Humminbird for your 997? The down imaging? I checked my account this morning and still have nothing available.

I got mine for my 997. Need to install this evening. Recieved two email notices.

You should be able to go to the HB site and log in and I would think that it is there. Plan to do mine on Friday.
Or are they emailing it to everyone who registers the unit at their website
