I have the same question LaserDoc. Just got mine installed this past weekend. All except the transducer as I'm waiting on a mounting plate to arrive.

If I'm not mistaken, currently the only game in town for GA lakes for H'bird would be Navionics Hotmaps Premium or Platinum, although I understand there's a new one coming out fairly soon. Cane Pole will be along shortly if I need correcting though.

Unfortunately for you southern boys, Lakemaster is currently limited to some of the northern tier of states.

I understand that the 2010 Navionics chips are just about ready to ship. I heard a report form one of their reps at the NPAA meeting this weekend, and it sounds like some of their chips are getting a slug of new hi-def lakes and some revisions to older lakes as well.

I vote present on Navionics maps. I get my skinny from billbob.

Im planning on going to the boat show in Huntsville Alabama this weekend and that is one of my questions I hope to have answered.I am looking for any and all information on lake maps, cards, and what the 2 major brands have out and hopefully see a demo unit of each in use.

has anyone heard of the differance in the HotMaps Platinum 2009 vs the 2010.
I'm seeing the 2009 at some close out prices about 20 bucks less than the 2010.
Should I jump on the the 09 or wait another month for the 10's to come out.
Is the sat.overlay and 3D view worth it or should I go with the prem model chip ?? Not sure of the differances from the prem to the plat models
