Default Contemplating I-Pilot for this spring

I might go against my own advice this year. I almost never purchase something produced in its first year. Since I do not tournament fish I do not worry about the tech edge enjoyed by those more daring than I.

However the more I read about an I-pilot trolling motor especially the Terrova. I am like 17 years old ,got Dads car , a full tank of gas ,and a date with the most talked about girl in school on a Saturday night.

To quote the old Elvis tune I'm all shook up. Even though I know if it turns out to be more buggy than useful I will cuss myself out . Seems like I can not talk myself out of it. I'm weak I need HELP.
Garminarmin gpsmap 1040 xs networked with Garmin gpsmap 1242 xsv , Panoptix PS 30 and PS 31. Livescope LVS 32

Ice rig Echomap Ultra 106SV with LVS 12 and GT10-IF

My fishing partner just installed one on his Powerdrive V2 and is going tommorow to put it to the test! Can not wait for him to call me tommorow night with his evaluation. If it is good I will have a Terrova I-PILOT next week. I think I will enjoy the Anchor feature and trail back feature not to mention the cruise control. Now I am getting giddy.

let us know about the V2, the foot pedal not working is a downer for me.
if the remote petal worked, I would jump on it.
(even if I had to buy the wireless petal)
I cant afford the I-pilot and terranova this year.
    Sorry about my luck.

I want a V2 with I-pilot BAD!!! I'm just not sure I want to be depending on the remote hand control from messing up in some way determining whether I get to fish or not. It'd really hurt alot should something happen and the warranty repair should keep me off the water for weeks waiting on the troller to be fixed. The terrova is simply out of my price range too.:o
