    Will a SD card work in 1197?? 997 specifies SDHC.

    I have no trouble with a 2GB SD card in my 1197.

    Think the beauty of a SDHC is the write time. I put a cheapo 2GB SD in my 797 and it would take like 14 seconds to write an image to it. Got a SDHC and it's under a second. Might be exagerrating the 14 seconds, but it was annoyingly long.

    I read that the units will not use the SDHC unless you have the latest updats on them. When you go over the 2gig size it is a HC....High Capacity. I have the 1197 and it says that I need the 4.7 update to read the HC cards.

    Good point. I have ver 4.18 on my 997 and the 4 gig HDSC works. This is not the latest version for the 997. Best to check the version too.

    We stopped by Gander Mountain in Jackson,Tn after Christmas so I could fiddle with the displays. Nothing worked.

    The buzzbaits working there didn't know how to turn the power strips on. Amazing. I did see one of helpers texting on his cell phone though. Well, he could have been playing a cell phone game. my o my.
