Any feedback on the Eagle "Cuda?" I Bought my irst one two years ago and had good results. I bought another one last summer for the other boat and have also had real good results. For the price they are great. Anybody else use one?

I ahve two. One in the front and one on the console. Problem with the one on the console, it's signal has to be turned off if I am using my 997. Both transducers are 6" apart. For the price they work great. I prefer my 997 sonar better, but again, at the price is fair.

When I needed a inexpensive but functional FF/DS for mounting on my Kayak I went with the one that seem to have the best reviews from multiple sources. My choice was the Cuda 242. One was bought for 38.00 on clearence sale at Wally World and the other was bought at Academy for 46.00 on sale. Youd be hard pressed to beat that! Both are very functional and very practicle for the application I use them on with my Kayaks. Would I have like to have bought better FF/DS? Oh yeah but when using them on a Kayak where I might "turtle" a 600.00 dollar one with all the whistles and bells just didnt make a whole lot of sense and probably would not have made much of a difference in putting more fish on my stringer either. The addition of the Cuda 242 and a 7 amp/hr 12 volt battery has made my Kayak quiet the fish killin machine helping me make some pretty serious catches over the last 4 years. I am a simple kinda man and I like simple kinda things and while quality gear is important I am a firm believer that the fool behind the tool is more critical to sucess in the equation. If you cant skillfully use it, even the best tool in the world is almost useless!
Amen To That
Great information. I like the idea of using all one type of fish finder so I can mix and match the parts in case of failures. I'm planning on mounting one on the front and back of both boats. BPS has one on sale right now for 69.95 but it's an hour away. I live 10 minutes from Cabelas, Dundee. They honor the BPS ads. Service wise I've had real good luck so far.
Thanks again.
