Please Herewego when U test it out , Please try it at slow speeds say 0.5 or so mph going to a marked way point, my 997 GPS gets lost going to a marked waypoint, once U have to make one correction due to wind etc. the GPS overcorrects itself & wants to make a snake trail. Plse let us know how your 1197 does after update, thanks. by the time the 997 upate is out,Jan2010, we will have ice on all our lakesup here-but that won't stop me as I am able walk the unit -Portable- and will try it at walking speeds.
Hey folks maybe its me but so far only one report on the new GPS Update since it came out does not make sense to me when u think how critical a good GPS is to finding brush piles,structure??????? I would think lots of people would be trying it out?? Guess its me??
I know if it works I'll be happier than a dog rolling in them road apples
