Yeah, just look at what they are doing now with a simple software update. I love the thought of getting improvements through free software upgrades. Fixes, new features, enhancements - it's incredible. The fish won't have a chance.

Shoot that is how I have been using my 987c-SI for years. I run it in SI and watch the middle. I get lots more info out of it doing this. So many people have trouble seeing it running sideways though.
But for me I get more info out of mine like this then I do out from the boat. But it will be sweet to have it on the side along with the side view also.
From the way I read it, I hope they are planning on giving the ones with the Old 987c units the update also? Sure did not get the last ones.

I have most these gadgets. By far, the best functional gadget to have is the one that the ears hang on.

    Pete,
I’ve been told that the DownImaging software will include the 987 units as well as the 981, 798, 997 and 1197 units. The 797 has memory limitations and so will not be able to get this update but will continue to be supported as much as it can be.

Not really the subject of this post Cane Pole.
Last I heard is that they are still working on it along with some other updates - no specific release date given though.

    Thanks Greg.
How get them to send me the New update. That way I can try it out on the Big Sandy and Ky lake next month.:D Will even send back screen shots of what I find. Can't beat that deal.
I always enjoy finding rocks, trees and other stuff under the boat in screen of my SI. Gives you the whole deal not just part of it. Like this shot. Its priceless.
These type shots is what I hope to be seeing soon.:D
    Fish feeding on Baitfish

Fish feeding on bait fish. Crappie left bottom. This is how I use my SI under the boat. Been trying to talk people into using theres like this for years.

Just think what were going to be able to see with the New update. Go over a crappie bed. See what is there and how many fish is on it.
