First thing to do is get proper power to the unit. Make sure your battery is fully charged and run new fused power wires to the unit if needed to correct the low voltage.

Do you have an antenna(gps puck)? and you will need 12 volts. I think they give a low voltage warning at 10.5 or there abouts. What will ya take for it?

When you are checking the wiring be sure to look for any corrosion and loose connections (especially the fuse).

Also check to make sure that all cables are fully plugged up. While you are doing this see if a Y-cable was used to connect the GPS Receiver (if you have one) to the unit. If you don’t watch what you are doing you can get this cable connected up wrong.

It would not hurt to check the software version as well. The latest version for the Matrix 27 is 3.840

I'll check it out this evening if it ain't raining again. It came with the new boat and hasn't worked right yet. Hard parts getting at the battery. Ain't much room to look in there at all but I got to get it running right. They had it hooked up to the main cranking battery and it's still there. SHOULD it be there or to one of my trolling motor batteries?
