Default MK powerdrive V2 problem where is it?

This problem has happened to me two times. Unit is about 2.5 years old. I had not used ithe boat since June and took it out for a test run about a week ago. Trolling motor worked sort of. It would turn left and right but when I hit the go button I would here the head click but the prop would not turn. I unpluged the unit, slid the slider up and down tapped the foot pedal. Still the prop would not turn. Then it started to work. Worked fine the rest of the outing.
Today same thing. When it started to work it worked the whole day.
Do I need to replace the foot pedal or is this intermintent problem in the head

Check How solid the connection is at the foot pedal plug in. I have an older AP and it started doing something similar the other day. I played with the plug a little and everything went to working good and no problems since. Was ready to throw a grenade into the boat there for a while though.CF

Another thing I did not metion is that it has the copliot on it. I disconected the pedal and tryed to use only the little remote. It would work left and right but the prop would not turn. Plugged the pedal back in and thats when it started to work. I would here the click even when I used the remote button ,but the prop did not turn.

Replace the battery in the co-pilot remote.

The boards are bad about going out. I have one in the garage that needs the board replaced. But if yours stated working again, I would clean the plug.

I think CF is on to it. Check all your connections from the battery up. Aloose, dirty or corroded connection can cause that.

I have a V2 with auto pilot that is nearly new; bought it late spring this year. Same thing has happened to me twice. First time a piece of fishing line got hung around the prop and it quit. Pulled out of the water and could hear the relay click but it wouldn't run. Took it to a marine dealer close by and he was checking it and it started running. All connection were clean so we decided one was loose; we checked them all. Happened again this week; trolling motor got in the mud and almost immediately it quit. Pulled out of the water ; checked all connections with no luck. Loaded up and went home. A few hours later I was making voltage checks to locate the problem and it just started working??? Used it yesterday and it worked great for 8 1/2 hrs.

I talked to John at jonestrollingmotor.com He thinks it is the footpedal. Those bubble switchs can be intermintent at times/ Either the footpedal or control PC board in the head. I sent him my footpedal and he seaid he would test it on his bench for me.
    I hate these intermintent things!!!!!

My problem isn't in the foot pedal. I had power to the control beard in the base and you could hear the realy click on it. It was the same with the foot pedal or the remote. It's like something on the board was heating up and not re-setting on the board.
