Humminbird 788 CI
Hi guys,
I just have to tell everyone I know about the service I received recently from the folks at Humminbird.
I built a new boat in march 2009, bought 4 Lowrance units (2 sonar / 2 chart plotters). By the end of August 3 of them had broken, at least once and I was totally fed up with the complete lack of customer service offered by the people in Tulsa.
I bought the new Humminbird (788 CI) out of desperation, ordered it via a catalog house in WI.. When it came in the SD card door fell off in my hand, the little cross pin was missing.
I called Humminbird customer service, the nice lady took my number and gave me a customer and "promised" to call me back after lunch. After the lack of service by Lowrance I said "to myself", yeah right...
She did exactly as she promised then dropped the hammer on me. She called for my shipping address and informed me that she would be shipping me a new replacment unit that day and that I could put the defective one in the box, use the shipping label she provided and ship the defective one back at their expense.
THAT is CUSTOMER SERVICE...
I called and wrote to thank them for their fine service and have now bought my 2nd 788CI and have sold 3 more for them.
Thanks Humminbird for a great unit and even greater service...
Caught a ton of big Crappie last week using the new sonar units too...
