    The spot lock looks great. Staying on a brush pile would be a hole lot easier. Looks like the cruise control would be pretty handy for trolling as well.

    I can see somebody putting a boat on a point or dock or hitting another boat using it while they tie on a new bait or land a fish though.

    My kind of stuff.....Hope this I-Pilot works better than Raymarine's Helmpilot. It went crazy below 1.5 mph. Discontinued product.

    Yeah CP, that's what I was sorta quizzing you about us building
    home-brew awhile back and you didn't think it was too good an idea
    I'm curious to see how good it works. I'm afraid they have my number
    tho, if it works as advertised I'll have to have one :rolleyes::p

    Yep. Couple years ago they didn't have the high accuracy gps chip set. I will believe this when I see it. I was/am familiar with the Raymarine Helmpilot and it was a flop. The motor wore out from all the heading corrections caused by the gps inputs. You know how your heading arrow jumps, well the shaft drive motor gonna follow the directions.

    I will bet is has a combination of GPS plus magnetic compass. It is over my head. I am obsolete.:o

    I wish i would have waited,,,,, on the hummer si !! i got a fresh one and cannot do alot with it???? that sucks, dont get me rong i still like it, but would rather love it!

    Does anyone have any idea if it will automatically stay on the fish?????? oh i hope...haha cause if so....they will sale out of those things around douglas!!!!!

    Trolling motors are become like our desktops. Obsolete when purchased. New toys. What was the old saying - The difference between men and boys, is the price of their toys. Between an SI and a autopilot tm, $$$$$$.
