Hey Bob. This is even faster and quicker. Take a black coffee stirrer stick and just push it through the soft plastic lure. No muss...no fuss. One drop of Loctite on one side holds it in place. Trim with scissors so you just have a tiny bit of the eye showing on each side. Look at the stingers in the photo. Takes about five seconds per lure. I think it looked good on a hook.

The extra plastic on top is just to keep the aquarium fish from biting the hook point.
