Looking for some tough plastic

I'm looking for a source to buy some tough plastic that is not too difficult to work with. I mainly pour 2" stinger type baits. I've recently been using some jigs from Bonehead Tackle. Great baits and really durable but I like making my own. Anyone know of a good source when I can buy less than 1 gallon of plastic to try.

If you want tougher plastic you could try a quart of M-F saltwater formula Salt Water Plastic - 1 quart

If you already have a medium plastic that you are using, I would just get some hardener and play around with it until you get a toughness that you like. I would start with a tablespoon per 4 oz. to start. Plastic Hardener - 1 quart

I just ordered a gallon of Dead On Plastix to try out. Halfway through the jug and I’m very pleased thus far. I have poured several styles of baits and the clarity is wonderful. I even abused it with higher than normal temps in white, chartreuse, and clear with no scorching or pesky micro bubbles. I got the swimbait/jerkbait formula since that was about the middle of the road (medium formula) in toughness and flexibility. Seems very tough when I did stretch test. It’s a bit tackier at working temp than I was use to but that seems to disappear once the baits have cooled.

The Bait Plastics medium wasn't bad and I was happy with the results, but man did it smell. It took reheats very well and colors didn't change but due to the smell I decided to try Dead On Plastix. I have read a lot of good things about the Dead on Plastix and am looking forward to using it. Good to hear that its worked well for you because different brands can be very different from one another, even though they are the same strength.

I’m in no way trying to sell for DOP, but man I was so happy I could pour white and clear baits with it. The plastic brand I had been using for the past 2 yrs was good, I just couldn’t get good reheats without scorching. Take a look on YouTube and search dead on plastix (Worlds Worst Fishing). That’s what convinced me to try something different.

Loved M-F’s Easy Stretch medium hard and was some tough stuff but hated reheating it. Reheats of cooled plastic was bubble city. Initial heat was great though, no bubbles.

Ordered a gallon of Dead On saltwater to try the other day. Tried their old stuff, Bait Plastics or whatever it was called and wasn’t to fond of it. Hopefully new formula is better. Should be in Tuesday and will let you know my findings.
