Of course the plastic would have to be of a very soft grade for the best wiggle on the slowest retrieve using light jigheads in order to be irresistible to fish of ALL species. I would not go much above 2" in length for panfish, with the range starting at 1 1/4 " for ice fishing.

This is the first bullet grub I discovered by accident over four years ago. I don't even remember making it. (note the attached grub keeper wire)

Seems like they would have no action at all in bait but we do catch fish on plastics that have no action at all just a little Flickr to trigger the fish it is somewhat close to the carrot.
