Default Too cold to fish, so....

...I've been spending some time at the plastics bench.

All of the back colors have Jacquard PearlEx pearl pigment in them. Good stuff and it can certainly change colors. The green back and brown back are the same color only after I shot the green I added antique copper pigment to the plastic to get the bronzed effect. You can see the green show thru in the brown backed bait's tails.

Its -23 below right now with a wind chill index of about -45 degrees. I finally had to get a jacket out to get the mail and fill the bird feeders. A sweatshirt just didn't do it..

Very Nice CTom. Looks like a lot of pieces and parts. Complicated looking! Curious how you are getting the eyes in there. Doesn't look like an overcoat of plastic? Is this the PearlEx you are using? http://www.amazon.com/Jacquard-Pearl.../dp/B000BGSZFU Great idea! Thanks for sharing.

We haven't seen the top side of -18 degrees here today. Lots of wind too.

Ifish....those are the pigments. If you get any, go easy on adding them as they are really potent, much moreso than the pearls and hi lites we see at plastics sites. There is a cover dip on the eyes but I dip all the way back to where the tail starts at the end of the body. And yes there is a ton of handling on making these. I love the challenge of small baits and multiple colors.
