    Default Pretty chilly yet, so.....

....I opted to stay inside again today and took a little time to mess with another mold I have. I'm trying to get some baits ahead in my walleye arsenal and this drop-shot worm makes a killer walleye bait when jigged on a smaller jig in slack water.

I have shot this mold in mostly solid colors but have also split the tail colors a few shots too. Today I set out to get a split body color and used some re-melts from another project a few weeks ago. I had to hand pour the shallow half of this mold to get the results shown. And the plastic needed to be a tad bit warmer to get a smooth hand pour done and then again to shoot the chartreuse second color. Some extra stabilizer helped to keep the colors pure at the 355 degrees that the plastic needed to be held at.

Its a fun mold. Do-It sells it and it is called the 3.75" Zipper Drop Shot Worm. The mold is a four cavity and shoots real easy in a solid color or a separate tail color. Some jigging last fall with this worm got a bunch of walleyes and crappies. The crappies had to have about an inch removed from the front of the plastic to help in hooking up on them but the tail was the ticket regardless of the length.

I sure do like the looks of them might even be a good size for big crappies I'm sure that they would be a killer and a drop shot form like can't keep up with you anymore maybe a better start buying some molds

I could see those working well for smallie, in addition to sauger.
