A lot depends on if you are making a ton of baits to sell or just making a few dozen for yourself. Are you making baits 24/7 or just once in a while? The other factor to consider is how many cavities a mold has. Most of the molds I Have are 12 cavity. I may make up 1/2 to 3/4 cup of plastisol in a pyrex cup at a time. That is plenty to fill the mold at least 5-10 times since I do a lot of two color projects. I store the made up plastic in a zip lock bag and just cut off enough for what I am using that day. Less chance of burning it all up if you overheat it in the microwave. Since I do not sell my baits I only buy a quart at a time. Be sure and read all safety stickies at the top of the forum.
