    Default Which plastic to get???

I see a lot of them and I have checked out all the major sites.
    Caney Creek, Bears baits, Basstackle

I am still nowhere near deciding which one to get. I know that eventually I will find one I like but which one to get first?
Price - Bear baits Calhoun medium
My best guess for the best choice - basstackle M-F regular
Ease of use - possibly Caney Creek for easy pouring and sounds like a very forgiving plastic.

    Bearsbaits, shipping very high
    basstackle shipping free
    Caney creek shipping very reasonable

Can anyone clear this up for a little bit so I have less choices or at least better informed to make a better choice?

I will be ordering 2 molds from basstackle
Colorants will be from either bearbaits or caneycreek, possibly lurecraft but they are the highest priced. Haven't decided for sure on them either but the choice of whom to order the plastic from could make that decision for me.
    I wish basstackle sold colorants.

Any ideas, personal preferences, gripes about any companies listed will all help me.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I like canneycreek. You don't have to shake itm up like the others. Most of the other type will settle to the bottom of the container and form a hard pak. You have to shake the dickens out of it (around a half hour) to get it to mix back up. Also canneycreek doesn't smoke like Calhouns.

Spike-it Lureworks has about the cheapest. I have a gallon of theirs but have not tried any of it yet. Still working on a gallon of calhouns. The spike it will settle and it may be one of those deals where You get what You pay for. The caney creek is more pricey but is safer and is good quality. I think the gallon of spike-it run me about $35 with shipping. It may have been closer to $30. I can't remember. I hope it works out good. We'll see eventually and I'll post results then.CF

Get the CCM X2 colorant . The plastic is pretty high but it does not settle , Takes reheating very well . Stays clear when you want it clear . Several good features but the price stings a little .Keep a sharp eye on the temp of the plastic anything over 360 is increasing danger of yellowing or burning .

I use spike-it lureworks mostly and use the caney creek on any clear or Translucent baits.

We use a drill and paddle for mixing paint to stir ours back up - only takes about 5 minutes. You have to go real slow though or you can end up with air bubbles...

Where did you find a mixer like that small enough to go into one of the gallon jugs?

I like Caney. Had others but that one works best for me.
