    Default Bobby Garland Mold

Anyone make or know of an exact copy of the Bobby Garland shad. There is no patent or trademark so I was wandering if someone is making these shad bodies. I know and fish with Caney Creeks molded baits and they are close. You can PM me if you do not want to advertise! Thanks!

Howerer The baby shad mold I bought was not his. I got my mold at jacob baits. It also does a nice job for me.

basstackle makes a similar mold but as you mentioned it is not exact. there is also the pintail minnow mold which is kind of close. i would give my bottom teeth for an exact mold. even if there is not a patent a lot of mold makers wont copy it for fear of lawsuits. i sent the bait to a couple moldmakers and they would not make it. if you find someone who will please pm me

There are so many great shad-type molds out there I don't know why having on like Garland's is such a big deal. Most of the custom molds throw a far better bait.

You have that right, I have 4-5 different styles and they all catch fish!

Good for you Bob, Now I know where I can order some. Take it easy with that broken arm. LeeAnn will have to do all the lifting putting small things in place once the movers leave. Do not overdo it on your China trip either. Watch your step and be careful.

A mold like that would be a true custom mold which would = $$$. Southern copied it about as close as you can get. Yum has one real close too.
