we are used to the snow and ice but this year it is super dry. Just like the Fourth of July here dust is blowing we are really afraid that we will not get enough snow pack for irrigation this summer usually we have a little bit of snow often on here at the house but it does not stay it's usually all around us anywhere from 4 to 10 foot you don't have to go very high from here to get into snow but like I say there isn't any this year usually we put on studded tires in November and do not take them off until mid April we Snowstorms here even in April our weather does not turn warm until June yes we have days before that are in the 70s and 60s but it's usually blustery right up until June.
Read a blog today from a NASA meteorologist. He said that the La Nina phenomenon that is ongoing right is going to cause another drought in the west this year. This could be the effects You are seeing now Bob. It must really be some dry air there to be that cold for that long. Hope Y'all get some precip to recharge Your water supplies.CF
