Having problems with Laminate baits
I started having problems with my baits today. Went out and tried some that I made. It is two color horizontal laminate. When I put one on a jig head, the bait would split at the dividing line of the two colors. I could then peel the bait completely apart no problem. It was still sticking but not by much. Looks as if I have a bonding issue. I have been using divider plated to shoot laminates. Been doing this a long time and never had this problem. I started using Pam or store brand Pam on the divider plate on my new baby shad molds to help with the first color and demolding half of the bait. Pam helps keep one side in while the others side comes right on out making it much quicker to take out half the bait, recover and shoot the other color. I am getting a layer of pam on the first color. Is it possible that the pam is creating a block that is not allowing the second color to bond? That is what I think is happening. Need opinions. Thanks.CF
