Bob.....Remember those black and sweet potatoe stingers that you made for me??? Mike thought that was a goofy color...truth is its the best color combo for a stinger that I have ever used.

I do believe what some say about use what you have confidence in. However, there is a reason why I have confidence in what I use. I have confidence because it has proven to be effective. In saying that, if it is proven to be effective, I will use it more, and therefore I will catch more on it because I limit my time using other baits. It is not to say that the other baits and styles do not catch fish though. In the right place and time I am sure many styles will work. I have never experimented with eyes really. I have experimented with colored verses plain heads and 9 times out of 10 plain catches much more for me. I am still not sold on the sickle hooks yet either. I found that I lose just as many fish on those as any other jig, although I have not been using them long enough to make a fair judgement. Man I missed a lot while I was away.
