CATCH A BIG-UN
when summer has set in, we catch a lot of kentuckys on live crawdads.
Wow, I would say so. I was just wondering do you often find places where like bass often move into your brush more than crappie do. Or is it a guessing game? I want the crappie to come but I know some buddies who wouldn't mind the trash fish to be in there.
The bass seem to prefer the denser cover with more shade. Sparse sticks will hold more crappie, at least on our pvc atttractors.Has anyone come up with a good cheap material for stakebeds that won't rot? We now have pvc stakes ranging in size to stick in the mud. Not online yet but coming soon. What is the best number of stakes to put out in a group? Contact me if your interested.

At CJ last yr, a 24" largemouth was caught by a gal fishing at dusk on the deep (15 fow) side of #16 (Handicap Fishing Platform) 1 of the most heavily pressured spots on the entire lake in August; who`d of thunk? Was surprised she managed to wrestle it out of all that cover from shore!
Location has something to do with it, but Bass seem to perfer shady (larger structure). Wide boards verses say stakes which they can ambush prey. It can depend on location or season, we catch lots of Bass , Bream, and Catfish at certain times around our cover.
