a different type of structure

so I was wondering, do you think crappie would use structure if it looked like a table.see diagram below.

I can get my hands on some sheets of fiberglass and was thinking of attaching feet to it so that it would stand 4-5 feet off the bottom floor. this would alow shade for the fish to get under. I would think it would make great ambush zone. do you think this idea would work. I might attach some bamboo laying down on the tops of it also.
