Thread: Would this work as pvc structure?

This thread only shows pictures of the bamboo balls but are similar to what I am talking about but they would each be eight foot long. So they would not have a ball structure but would look similar with the rods going all around the pipe, at different angles.

Needless to say I would be assembling them at the slip.

So long as you`re allowing for any draw down (if applicable) sounds like a winner. Personally, I would still be tempted to put in at least 2 or 3 "BB"s (brush blocks) using locust or osage orange limbs shallow stuffed in opposite directions in each side of the block and with the 6- 8`long limbs 90 degrees to shore, parallel to the slip, with the PVC deeper. The 2 types together tend to produce AWESOME results...

What do y'all think about this pvc structure?

rmack, I am still confused about the pvc structure you are referring to. Are you referring to the url I posted or are you referring to something else? There are no images related to your posts that I can see.

I believe you're on the right track. Hanging one on the outside corners vertically would also be a good addition. Having wood nearby is a big asset as Lowellturner said. I fished a boathouse that had brush under the boat in a utube video of mine(dafishmantn) and lost a lot of jigs in it. Not an issue unless kids are swimming nearby, cuz we all know that kids know no boundaries and will go anywhere they aren't supposed to.

I ended up buying three of the porcupine ball attractors. I bought gray electrical conduit for the pipe. I made each side 3.5 feet so the total area is around 7 foot. I made one yesterday on the slip. I am going to place it in the water later today.

I will build the other two units during this next week and place them in the slip. After Christmas I am going to pick up some Christmas trees and place them underneath the sides of the slip.

So I will have pvc in the body of the slip and Christmas trees under the sides of the slip.

If these work out I may buy three more of the porcupine balls as they are so easy to make into attractors.

These are 2 other kinds of cover we have built and used...they work very well.
We have been putting wood, Christmas trees, or 'boo, close by for extra benefits.
