I have got 3 sections of truss's that are setting on the side of the bank. they are all connected (they where actually used as ramp for a slip and slide) I am wondering that if i pull them out into the water will they float long enough for me to get them to a spot to sink. once in the location i will tie 5 gallon buckets full of concrete to the structure so that it will sink

I know that wood is naturally bouyant and it should float but want to know before i have them pulled out in the middle of the lake.
any help and opinions would be helpfull.
