Does anyone reuse fish breading? I like to have plenty in the bag when I am getting my fish ready to fry. ( I put the filets in a bag and shake them around) This allows a good coating of breading but it seems I have a lot left over. Just wonder if anyone does reuse the breading and if so how to prepare, store etc. for the next use.

I don't re-use anything that has been in contact with raw fish or meat.

Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!
make hush puppies and toss the rest of it!.. freazing it or not.. your running a big risk!
Been re-using it all my adult life. I also put my breading (corn meal, salted and peppered) in a zip loc gallon freezer bag but I pat my fish fillets pretty much dry before placing them in the bag. All we do is zip the bag closed and roll it up and place in the drawer in the fridge. I'll add to it as needed, resalt and pepper and continue using as long as the meal doesnt get wet and clump up from mealing the fish.
I freeze mine as soon as I am done with it. Never had a problem. That said, I don't use it more than twice.
I always shake in a gallon ziplock, then roll up, seal, and freeze until next time. I usually get 2-3 breadings out of it. Not sure if cracker crumb type mixes would work this way, but does fine for Zatarans and House Autry
I take no chances.Till you lay in hosptial bed for 3 days with food poison go ahead and reuse it, been there done that NO fun
