I keep a gallon bag with about 2-3 cups of fish fry breading in the freezer. This way you can have it already mixed and ready if you need a snack or have a couple fish you want to cook right after fishing. This way it won't go bad and it's fresh and ready.

Yesterday was slow. I was messing around on our HOA lake. Not keeping anything, just messing around. Well I had this 1.5# shell cracker get the jig in his gills, bleeding like a stuck hog. Oh well... there's lunch. Then I caught a nice bull bluegill and a small bass... decided to add them to the ice chest... nice full lunch. Got home, get out the electric fryer I keep oil in and start it heating up, get my bag out of freezer, fillet the three fish at the kitchen sink and bing, bang, boom... lunch is served.
