Hey everyone... Haven't posted in a while so I thought I would start this fall as the crappie bite picks up. We finely got rid of the minner buckets the last two trips. We used jigs and had real good luck swimming them over deep brush. It was great to feel the thump. So if you like to cast instead of jig fish your time is here. We tried a jig under a cork with not much luck. They just want it moving a little faster than the cork will allow. We used our lake Shelbyville killer jigs with our shad body baits. pearl and blue with a black head work the best. Water temps or in the low 70's. So kick the minner bucket out of the boat and get ready for a great fall. I still have some opening's in late Oct. some in Nov. With some weekends still open...enjoy
Fall I my favorite time of year. I live in Oregon. The bite here has been crazy. have never seen crappie bite so soft this time of year. Haven't felt a thump for quite a while more like a gnat landing on your rod tip.
