I must say that im not completely happy with the Copilot setup on my Powerdrive unit.
The motor is just 3 years old, and due to wrapping up the long wire for storage after each use the wire failed in several places.
So rather than buy a new foot control which i actually used as a hand control as opposed to using my foot, i opted to buy the Copilot instead.
It works well when it works, but if for some reason the prop gets fouled with weeds or stopped by some type of obstruction causing the motor to shut down, chances are you wont be restarting it. The steering will still work but the motor will not.
I never had that issue with the original foot control.
The motor has been in a certified shop now for almost 2 weeks.
Im waiting to find out what the issue might be.
One thing for sure, it will have both type controls after i do.
