    The 7' B n' M Sam Heaton's Super Sensitive (SHSS) is a great rod for casting light jigs. I have two of them and use them quite a bit. As far as a reel goes, you could do a lot worse than the Pflueger President in their smallest size, the #6920. Both the rod and the reel go for about $50.00 each. Grizzly Jig has them all.
