I have one of those. I used 20# big game green mono and just pushed it through the blank, it was stiff enough that it didnt get caught up. I replaced the factory mono with this so I could see the line better. I then tied on a split ring on the end which I tie my leader to. Leader is 4-6# mono. Braid is going to cut right through that plastic tip, stick with mono IMO.
