    Default Greers this weekend

Went to Greers Saturday afternoon and work on my toon adding some rod holder. Decided to try some Bandit about 3:00 pm. Picked up 7 keeper and 2 short by 6:00. Went back today after church started about 2:00 fished until about 7:00 and ended up with 9 good keeper and about 10-12 short. It is funny to see a 6" to 8" crappie bite a Bandit 300. Most of the keeper were females that had spawned out. They are sure thin, spawning must have take a toll on them. Water was 69 degrees so in a couple more week the bite should pick up.

Good catch CS....glad to hear your getting back up and running, pulling in some fish. How deep of water were you fishing? I plan to give it a try this week.

    CS,
Gimme some specifics on what type of water you're trolling. How deep? Next to or on the flats? Next to stick ups?

I want to apply your info to Ouachita. I trolled for two hours last Wednesday over grassbeds about 22 feet deep. Of course the 300's are running 12-14' deep. I never got a bump.

    Any help I'd appreciate.

I was in about 30-40 foot of water next to the standing timber.

John I was fishing 30-40 foot of water next to the stickup. The lake is almost 10' above normal pool so some of the stickups are under water. Most are near a drop off. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the report Wayne.

Glad to see you back in action.

I've been chompin at the bit to see that 70 degree water temp.

    Sounds like it's about time.

    CS

Thanks for the info. I may see if I can get on the lake sometime before the weekend.

It's so high there I don't see any other way to fish them since they're not in the newly flooded stuff.

    Thanks so much.
