    Default Conway Good Ones

Got to Fish Friday evening for a lil bit before the storm hit, but I was watching my Grandson, he's only two, I can remember thinking BOY I only wish you were a few more years older or we would have been in the boat earlier that day. But anyway Mom came and picked him up and I was fishing by 4pm. Between 4-9 PM I caught these on shinner minnows and slipbobbers and 10 yo-yo's I sat out around cypress trees. If I would have been able to get out earlier that day they would have been in real trouble. But I looked to the west and all I saw was storm acoming, time to go home. Man this weather is crazy windy one week, and stormy the next. I have a spot that is producing some good un's but either commitment or the weather is keeping from getting them good. Do any of you ever have this problem? Just wondering? It's a nice problem to have and we call it Crappie fishing. The two I am holding both topped the 16 inch mark. CP

Some good slabs you caught....I went to Brewer Friday Morning and had no luck at all with the Crappie and couldn't find anyone that did....I did catch quite a few bream and whites.

Nice catch! Those fillets look good.

With determination and in spite of the grim weather forecast, we launched on Conway at daylight Saturday morning, just in time for the lightening and rain. Sat in the truck and waited. Stopped storming, got back in the boat and fished for about 15 minutes. Then here came the lightening and rain again. Sat in the truck for a while and waited, but finally packed it in and went home.

Hopefully next weekend will be better.

Nice catch, hope the rest haven't drowned the last two days. Keep expecting to look out my back door and see Lake Conway or Greers in my back yard.
