caught a few yesterday evening on lake poinsett just before dark. Got on the water bout 630pm and fished till dark. landed only five but lost many more.
water temp in the low 60's across the lake, and little a warmer in the coves. caught on small rosies bout 1ft deep around cover.
If the weather keeps up should be nice in the coming days.
All but one were females and still had eggs in them.

Thanks for the report. Looks like I will have to get familiar with Poinsett when I move back to Jtown in May. Never crappie fished much while there at ASU, only fished Hogue and the bottoms once each.
RCC,
Yup that was me and my bro-in-law. Were you the one sinking limbs?
