go to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Little Rock District - News and Information and this will tell what you need to know and it will give you the mailing address and where to make the check out to and this is the 30 annual boat ramp permit instead of paying everytime you go

Go to the park at lock and dam 13.
Close to Barling and pick one up there.
30 dollars or 15 dollars if you are old enough.
That is where I get mine........Gene

The BEST way to get an annual pass is to approach ANY corps ranger in the field. He/she will sell you one for a mere $30.00. They do it right there on the spot. This allows you unlimited launches at any corps ramp for a year from the date of purchase.

Before you purchase a pass, look to see if there are any Game and Fish Ramps in the area you fish. Many times the Corps will work with G&F folks and allow them to take over or even build their own ramps (to corps specks) for public convenience. In Arkansas, the G&F do not charge for launches at THEIR ramps.

In several cases, there is a corps ramp and a G&F ramp within a couple hundred yards of each other. This helps with overflow situations when the dreaded 'tournament' comes to town.

$30.00 bucks; any corps ranger-any time. If you're over 65 and have a Golden Age Passport or its equivalent, you will get it for $15.00--That's no money in cotton country!

Default Annual Permit for corp ramps(DayUse Permit)

I found out after my 63rd b'day that you only have to be 62 to get your half price Day use permit and also your camp sites are half price. But you also have to get your"Senior Pass".IT costs $10 but it last for the rest of you life.

Your best bet is to go to Clear Creek Park that is the best palce to always find someone. I get mine there every year. Ozark and Barling are the next choices for your location but seldom is an attendent there.
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!

    Smile Permits and Passes

If you reside in the Millwood area, go to the Corps Of Engr. office on Hiway 32 before you cross the damn, they sell a annual launching permit. Mine cost me $15 dollars being over 62---The boat ramps and camp grounds around Millwood are run by the Corps. Game and Fish do have a couple also.
America the Beautiful card is the new card replacing the Golden Age one. I paid $10 Dollars for mine at the Ranger / Forestry office in Glenwood. The Corps do not issue these cards anymore---Forestry Department took it over.

...and replaced with a card called America the Beautiful Pass, I think. But the difference is that the Corps can't issue these! Congress left us out of the loop so now qualifying folks must go to the Forest Service to get 'em.
