All the fish we have been catching have been between Hickory and Ventris. Some males are in the shallow water but most fish are suspended out in open water above brush.

    JT,
I have to ask: not for any specific docks or anything like that but I have been weekending at Beaver (my in-laws have a place) for 20 years and have only caught a handfull of crappie. Those came while bass fishing. Our place is in Cedar Creek and I don't have the bass boat anymore so I don't run too far. I fish Fords Creek allot. So the question is: Is this a good area for crappie (or am I that bad at finding them) if so what do you look for?

    Thanks,

    Pat
