Thread: Nimrod

Any report on Lake Nimrod this past weekend?

I camped at Quarry Cove and fished Fri - Sun. Probably caught 75 fish and only 5 of them were big enough to get a legitimate filet off of. The fished still seemed to be between 8 -10 feet deep. That was my first fishing trip at Nimrod and I fished pretty hard every day. Jigs only. That seemed to be the same story for everyone I talked to, lots of fish, all too small to keep.

Sat 21 the fish bit fair. caught a good limit with a few 15-16'' Crappie on jigs. This week the water and wind is up ,water temps are down. I really hate this weather change. Fished with a buddy at Carlise on his place on 25 and did good , fish had spawned there. Hopefully weather will warm and Nimrod will drop quick.
