Norfork
I got to fish Norfork for about 3 hours or so on Sunday afternoon. The wind was terrible until about the last 45 minutes. We ended up with a mixed bag of fish. Managed 3 crappie, 2 whites and 3 bass. We missed several other because of the slip bobber and the wind. I am new to this slip bobber business and the only way I could keep my bait in the area I wanted it and keep my bait at the depth I wanted it was to keep alot of slack in the line. By the time the bobber went under and I got the slack out the fish was off. That happened several times. I guess you live and learn.
All the fish were caught on either an electric chicken roadrunner or a slip bobber setup with a minnow. Seemed like most of the fish were pretty shallow. I would say caught in 6 feet of water or less. No set pattern. We caught some over cover, but most were caught closer to the bank (between the brush and the bank). I will say we were fishing the bank that the wind was pushing into, so the graph seemed to show alot of bait fish in the area.
Anyway, we didn't slay them, but we had a good day. I will try to post some pictures later.
