I'm not sure I will be there weekend after next, but I'm aiming at it. I'll try to look for y'all. I normally keep my cell phone in my truck, but I'll try to remember to take it with me. # is 870-307-2257.

I'm not bringing in a camper. Where to stay? I've generally stayed at that motel at Helena on the west end of town. Is there a better place?

I have stayed there at the motel in west Helena and had no problems. I always cleaned out my boat and brought it all in the room with me though. We generally stay at Maddox Bay which is on the White River Reserve. It is about 30 to 40 minutes away and West helena is about 20 minutes I would guess. Google Lawrenceville, Ar and you can see a map. They have a bait shop/store/resturaunt and about 6 cabins plus places for RV and campers with full hookups. Cabins are $55 or $60 a night. We have never had any problem there and know the owners well. You can be comfortable with leaving your stuff out. We prefer this place because of the lack of theft as well as having Maddox Bay right ther which gives us access to another set of lakes (Pryor, Kansas etc) just in case Old Town does not turn out. It is about 25 miles west of Old Town lake. Plus more room. If you would like to stay there I will giveyou the number.

    Question Roll Call

I will be there starting on Friday. I can't wait. I bet they will be on fire at Old Town but I could be wrong. Can I get a roll call of who is expecting to be there please? I want to make sure that I can meet as many of you as possible. Thanks.

It would be my pleasure to help in any way I can. I remember meeting you at Burnt Cane I believe last year. Just look me up on the lake or call me. I will send you a PM with my number.

I just spoke with my Father and Uncle and got a report. They fished midday to about 6:30. Slow at midday but picked up at about 6:00. They said that many were small but the bite was good. Sounds like the bigger ones should move back in a day or so. Just my opinion though and I certainly could be wrong.

I talked to a guy who went to Old Town on Tuesday...he only caught 5.

I talked to a guy who went today (wed) and said it was poor. Everyone he talked to said the same thing...slow. He said the water temp was 56-57.
